1. Who we are and what this covers

Released is the band based in Sarasota, Florida. In this policy, “Released,” “we,” and “us” mean the band and its authorized representatives who operate this website. This policy covers releasedband.com, www.releasedband.com, and communications you send through the contact links on this website.

The website offers music, videos, photos, a press kit, and booking and merchandise inquiries. It does not currently offer fan accounts, a newsletter signup, a shopping cart, payment processing, or public comments.

2. Information we receive

  • Information you send: When you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, message, attachments, and any booking, venue, merchandise, or other details you choose to include. A contact link opens your email application; it does not submit a form automatically.
  • Website request information: Our hosting and delivery providers process information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages or files, request times, referring site when supplied, and error or security information to deliver and protect the site. We may receive technical reports from these providers.
  • Media and external services: A provider may receive playback activity and device information when you open its player or visit its website. Details are below. Public social interactions and direct messages to the band are also governed by the relevant platform’s privacy policy.

3. How information is used and disclosed

We use information to respond to fans, handle press and booking requests, discuss merchandise, deliver requested media, maintain site reliability, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Relevant band representatives and providers supporting hosting, security, email, and communications may process information for those purposes. For example, the site uses Sites hosting and Cloudflare delivery, and the published contact address uses Gmail.

We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or to professional advisers handling a related matter. We do not use this website to sell visitor contact information, build advertising audiences, or operate advertising pixels. External media platforms may process information for their own purposes under their policies. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

4. Players, cookies, and external links

Our website code does not set advertising or analytics cookies, use a visitor analytics tracker, or store player preferences in your browser. Hosting and security infrastructure may use essential technologies to deliver or protect the service.

YouTube and Facebook players load only after you select the relevant video. Opening one connects your browser to that provider, which may receive your IP address, device information, the referring website, and viewing activity, and may read or set cookies or similar storage. If you are signed in to that service, it may associate activity with your account. YouTube embeds use its privacy-enhanced mode; this does not mean that playback is anonymous or free of all data processing.

Locally hosted videos and press downloads are served by our website’s hosting infrastructure. The song player requests audio from ReverbNation through our server when you select a song; we do not forward your browser’s cookies or IP-address headers to ReverbNation. Visiting ReverbNation directly is a separate interaction.

You can avoid external players, close a player using “Back to videos,” and manage cookies in your browser or the provider’s settings. Closing a player stops its embedded connection but does not erase information already received or cookies already stored. Our site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals; it has no first-party advertising tracking to switch off. Providers’ responses to these signals depend on their own practices.

For their policies, see Google / YouTube, Meta / Facebook / Instagram, and the privacy links on ReverbNation and TikTok. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Retention and security

We keep correspondence and related records for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, maintain relevant booking or transaction records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the record and the reason it is needed. Hosting logs and provider backups are subject to the relevant provider’s retention practices.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and service, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, government identification, or other sensitive information to the band by ordinary email.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You can contact releasedmusic1@gmail.com to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or ask us to stop optional communications. Describe your request and the email address you used to contact us. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity; please do not send identification documents unless we explain why they are necessary.

Depending on your location and whether the relevant law applies to our activities, you may also have rights to access or obtain a copy of data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale or targeted-advertising sharing, appeal a denied request, or complain to a privacy regulator. We will handle applicable requests within the time required by law, explain any lawful limitation, and will not penalize you for exercising a protected right. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

The band operates in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on responding to your requested steps toward an agreement, legitimate interests in communications and secure site operation, legal obligations, or consent where required. We apply legally required safeguards when a covered international transfer occurs.

7. Children’s privacy

This is a general-audience band website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact releasedmusic1@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Please do not send us personal information if you are under 13.

8. Policy updates and contact

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. For a material change, we will post a prominent notice on the website and obtain consent if required before using information in a materially different way. This policy describes data handling; visiting the site does not by itself give consent to optional data processing.
